Cardio Drumming is cardio at its best!

Heart rates were high in Anderson Gym while students in grades 1-4 performed cardio drumming.  Another name for this is called "Drums Alive".  This is a great rhythmic activity to increase one's heart rate, rhythm, coordination, and also work the core, upper and lower body.  Students learned several drumming patterns to popular music while adding squats, jumps, turns, and grapevine steps.  Little did the students realize that drumming is excellent exercise!  Below is a picture of the drum set- up as well as my fourth grade class drumming out.
